What’s Next: A Craft Show and One More Repair

Okay, I know I’m a bit sporadic here. Nonetheless, I love letting people know what I’m up to, however rarely I do it!

This Saturday, I will take part in my first-ever craft show. For those of you in the Denver metro area, stop by to visit my table between 9:00 AM and 2:30 PM at:

Edgewater Plaza Senior Apartments
2250 Eaton Street
Edgewater, 80214

Come hungry and visit with all the vendors while munching on homemade baked goodies! The show is a fundraiser for Edgewater Senior Connection. It should be a lot of fun.

I’ll post a few pictures of what I’ll have for sale on Facebook on my Bunny On the Bed page. Come visit!

My next bit of news is somewhat less fun. I’m having a second surgery on my arm sometime in the next couple of weeks. The best part is I will be getting rid of the plate and screws, as they are no longer needed and are causing some ongoing irritation. No more Steampunk arm! The worst part is my arm will be, shall we say, unavailable (again) for two-four weeks and I will then be in physical therapy (again) to regain my flexibility and strength. It’s a full surgery, so I get to deal with the aftereffects of anesthesia (again). Sigh. The fact that my arm feels pretty good, other than some irritation around the point of my elbow, makes it hard to really want to go through this again. However, I have paid out enough out-of-pocket for medical bills this year that my catastrophic coverage has kicked in and I have no more co-pays until next year!

This means I won’t be taking any commission work until after I can start claying again. While it shouldn’t take as long as did after the original surgery, I may not be able to make any Christmas gifts beyond what I already have made. I will make a joyous announcement when I can start creating again.

I will also be taking a break from writing and editing until I can start typing again. Hopefully, this should only be a couple of weeks, but I’m not making any promises just yet.

I have a product review of ColorMixer™ in the upcoming Winter issue of The Polymer Arts. This is a color-mixing app, created by Nancy Ulrich, with recipes to create palettes in Fimo and Premo polymer clay. Take a look, both at the app and my opinions on it.

That’s it for today! Have a wonderful holiday season, with as little stress as you can manage!
